One day I had convinced myself it was going to be my last day on earth. I had brought a scarf with me to school and I was going to hang myself in the girls bathroom. I had it all figured out. I was going to go to my math class and sit there for awhile then i was going to leave the classroom and go into the bathroom and take this really strong scarf thing that i was wearing but when i was walking to my math class a group of jocks decided that it would be funny to slam me into a locker and throw my papers and my binder and my book out of my hands and onto the floor. as i was trying to pick my stuff up all the people in the hallway kept walking and stepping on my things. all except for one person. that person was Matt. he stopped and helped me pick up and gather all of my things and as he was doing that he smiled at me and i couldnt help but smile back. with just that simple gesture of kindness and a smile he brightened my day and my heart and that was just enough to make me change my mind about killing myself. But the day he died when they announced it at school the dark clouds came back and i was crying off and on all day. but instead of going suicidal i turned to music and drawing and now when ever i feel suicidal i just think of that day and how his simple gesture of kindness and smile saved my life and made me realize that i only have this one life and this one shot of making the most of it. and i believe we can only die once we have served our purpose for being here and i sometimes believe that his purpose was to help out a teenage girl bent on killing herself in school and to make her realize it was a permanent solution to a temporary problem. i never got the chance to thank him for saving my life but now i do. so Thank you Matt for saving my life and for brightening my day and my heart. It meant a lot to me and still does to this day. You Will Be Forever Missed But NEVER EVER Forgotten! R.I.P! Close
